How the Markets Work
Kids Ideas' Shine

PARTICIPATION
Kid Entrepreneurs ages 6 to 17 can participate in our craft/farmer's markets that are run completely by kids!

PRODUCTS
Kids and teens can sell anything as long as it was created or done by them! It can be handmade crafts, food, games, or services.

SELLING
At our markets, the kids must do the selling! They are in charge of all aspects of their business. Bartering with other child entrepreneurs are not allowed until the market is over.

BOOTHS
All booths are an 8'x8' or 10'x10' space depending on the location and families bring all their own supplies (table, chair, products, etc.). The Kids Market does supply each booth with a tent if its not taking place inside or under a pavilion.

PARENTS
Encouraging independence is key when it comes to setting up a child's business. Parents can assist their children in setting up there product and getting started, but it's essential to step back and let them take charge. This hands-off approach allows kids to develop crucial skills like marketing and public speaking, empowering them to thrive in their entrepreneurial journey. Trusting their abilities, parents can help foster confidence and creativity in their young business owners.

REGISTER
There is limited space so you'll want to sign up early! Registrations are required. There is no refunds but a rain check is applied toward future kids markets if the market is cancelled due to inclement weather.
